  1. Quintessential Wicker Park Pad!

From access to the roof to the Christmas lights, this was the full Monty Wicker Park. I lived here over 20 years ago, but this apt. was a time-capsule untouched by the hand of gentrification. A find!

  2. Missing a few things to be excellent

The location was convenient and are was nice, but a few things needed to be in place for an excellent experience.

  3. Very good location, nice apartment!

This nice and comfy apartment is located in a trending neighborhood with a lot of restaurants and shops. It is 2 blocks away from the train so super convinient to move around. It is in the blue line that goes direct to Ohare airport! (about a 30min ride). Only thing that we would suggest is to put a curtain that blocks the sun from the bed. It is right in front of the bed so it hits you direct in the face...we resolved it but puting to towels to block out the sun and it worked fine! I would totally stay here again!

  4. Cwilson Review

Room needed a deep clean. Kitchen was clean, baseboards and bathroom needed attention. Grime built up in corners and on walls. Towel rack was loose and couldn't be used. Dormigo process in general was unsavory. Property listed at $130 on HomeAway, click on that and it jumped to $330 for one night. Then you sign up and AFTER its all done you get an email demanding a $500 deposit buy the end of business day. Great location though. Still haven't gotten my deposit back - no communication from the company. Preparing a formal complaint to HomeAway and vBro. I don't know why this is allowed.

  5. Great place but make sure you can get in!!

Great location. Funky studio apartment (bed sits on wooden pallets that stick out so if you need to get out of bed in the dark, be careful! Lock box was not as described (markings or location) so don’t arrive at night and make sure you contact host during office hours because there is no response later in the evening.

  6. Cute place, great location

Perfect location! Photos are an accurate reflection of the space. Small but very functional. 5 sets of stairs to walk up, so not for the out-of-shape! No elevator access. Only bummer is the outdoor access is dodgy - steep, broken steps, and the indoor staircase lighting is motion-censor triggered and doesn’t come on right away, so you end up walking in the dark for a bit.

  9. Cozy modern studio in a fantastic location

Walking in the door to the unit, I was hit with a wave of coziness. It was toasty warm, everything was clean and bright and very inviting. The unit feels cozy, sizewise, but not cramped. All very nice and comfortable. It's also very separated from outside noise! If I open the little window, I can barely hear some street noise, but otherwise, it's dead still unless the forced air heat is going, which is rather loud. Caveat for folks who might feel vulnerable in urban spaces, have physical issues with stairs, or who watch too many crime dramas - the approach to the unit, down the side of the building and up a few flights of stairs - can feel a bit sketch at night. I think it's perfectly safe; the neighborhood definitely has money with very well-kept buildings all around. But if you arrive at night it could be nervous-making, and if you don't do well with stairs, this unit is a bad idea. This unit's best feature is that it's a block away from a great segment of Wicker Park's commercial strip! High quality coffee, bookstores, bars and restaurants are just steps away, and the Blue Line is a very quick walk. The management company communicated well - sent a bunch of info emails ahead of time and responded quickly by email as well.
