  1. Austin is awesome, this property is meh

This property is in a great location to partake in all Austin has to offer. Walking distance or a short Lyft to all the highlights. Beyond that, this property itself is just fine, but reasoanble if you are just looking for a place to crash. It was clean and recently remolded, but we arrived to a leaking ceiling and lots of things falling of the walls. The property manager was responsive in sending maintenance. Maintenance fixed the leak...but left the mess. Listing advertised a pool, but it is closed until what they said would be mid-May. I would be surprised if they met that deadline though given the amount of construction left. The property manager conveniently neglected to disclose this until two days before our arrival. Definitely stay, it is a great launch pad to see Austin from with a reasonable price, but go in with limited expectations. The pics make it look much nicer than the real thing.

Finding the unit was tricky as it's in a fairly large apartment complex. Upon opening the door, we found that one of the bathrooms had a drop cloth over the vanity and a step ladder with dry wall everywhere from a ceiling leak. Upon calling Dormigo right away, I did receive an apology for them not updating me on the condition of the unit and that there was a repair underway. I was grateful that they gave me a 20% discount on our rental, but it was difficult using the space minus one bathroom. A downside to renting in an apt unit is that it's loud. On our last night, there was a party that went into the wee hours of the morning. I would also suggest blackout shades for the bedrooms. The two bedrooms are in the front of the unit and even with the blinds shut (no curtains), the outside lighting makes the bedrooms quite bright. Aside from the bathroom repair, the unit was clean and beds were comfortable with plenty of towels as well as a well-stocked kitchen.

  3. Ohioans hit the heat of Texas!

We enjoyed our stay with only a few problems. The pool was not useable our entire stay of 102+ temperatures. We were disappointed because of weather like this you need the pool and that was one important thing on our list! The apartment itself is very confusing to find, but once you find it there is no problem. It was very clean and comfortable. You might want to have the cleaners hit under the beds. The floor hadn't been dusted in awhile under the beds. Construction is going on at the complex but it didn't seem to distract us much. The apartment was fine but I would like to try different options next time.

  4. Austin apartment SoCo

Positives: The location was great, walking distance to SoCo restaurants or an easy uber to Rainey St./6th St. Overall, it was comfortable, but more like a hotel room than an AirBNB, which was fine with us. The beds were comfortable and it was nice having a full kitchen. We didn't plan on cooking full meals so we were fine on how the kitchen was stocked. (Salt/pepper/dish detergent/olive oil/dishes/glasses). Full washer/dryer in unit made packing lighter easy. We were able to control temperature of unit, which was nice. Also, having a parking garage was great. Negatives: The floors appeared clean, but left our bare feet filthy, so I feel a better job could be done in cleaning the floors. A few of the towels, which were white, had really bad stains on them and we had to request new ones because we didn't feel comfortable using them. These were delivered promptly. The kitchen sink's water didn't get warm or hot. We called on Friday morning and someone came to check it on Tuesday when we weren't there, and reported to us that "there was nothing wrong." Water never got warm the entire week. The first time we used the washer, there must have been residual bleach in tub, as two pairs of shorts and a shirt came out with bleach stains. Recommend rinsing washer tub before using.

  5. Great location!

Awesome location, reasonably priced, very responsive management team, SUPER comfy mattresses. Minor drawbacks: construction right outside made for a bit of street noise, parking instructions were confusing and could be improved, the towels need replacing, the person living in the apartment upstairs is a heavy walker.

  6. A perfect spot for a long weekend in Austin.

Stayed for four nights. The location was perfect. Walking distance to great places to eat, nightlife and the bridge to watch the bats. A short Uber ride to the night life on 6th. The instructions for the parking and finding the unit were not very clear but we figured it out eventually. The unit was clean, there are spots on the towels that others mentioned but wasn't a huge deal to us as they still smelled nice and were washed. The shampoo in the bathroom was 95% empty which was a bit weird but obviously just something that was over looked. The person above this unit is a very heavy walker, the walls don't seem to keep much noise out and people walking by can be very loud in the bedrooms. The curtains in the bedrooms are also fairly light so if you are a day time sleeper it may be hard to sleep. The construction outside was also very loud but that's obviously something that wont last forever. A great place to stay for a fun long weekend in Austin. We will be staying here again when we return.
